Apple dumplings

INGREDIENTS - DUMPLINGS
1 kg apple (ideally sour apples)
2 eggs
50 g flour
1 pinch of cinnamon
1 pinch of ground cloves
75 g sugar
INGREDIENTS - BUTTERED BREADCRUMBS

butter
sugar
Method
RECIPE FOR 4 PEOPLE
Peel and roughly chop the apples. Mix well with the eggs, flour, cinnamon, ground cloves and sugar and leave for approx. 30 minutes.
The dough should have a slightly “sticky” consistency so that the dumplings don’t fall apart in the water. Add a bit more flour if necessary!
Wet your hands and form dumplings from the dough. Place the dumplings in lightly simmering water for 10 minutes.
In the meantime, heat some butter in a frying pan. Sauté the breadcrumbs in the butter and add a bit of sugar. Take the apple dumplings out of the water and sprinkle with the breadcrumbs.
