The tame side of the Kaiser
Leisure region Kaiserwinkl
Not far away from the high peaks of the Kaiser Massif, the Kaiserwinkl region offers a beautiful selection of cycle routes, cosy places to stop for a bite to eat and power places for leisure cyclists and e-bikers. The starting point of many tours is the tranquil village of Kössen, from where the cycle routes run across green meadows and forests through the gentle Alpine landscape. One of the highlights of the region is Lake Walchsee. The warmest swimming lake in Tyrol always invites to an extensive stop with fun in and around the water.
Culinary delights in the Kaiserwinkl
The Zahmer Kaiser sits enthroned above the region day in, day out. The peaks of the famous Tyrolean
massif are very distinctive. Although unattainable for cyclists, they still get a taste for more just by looking at peaks. Speaking of taste, the regional cuisine in the Kaiserwinkl must of course be mentioned here. The quaint inns and snack stations along the way are the perfect energy suppliers for cyclists. The food is of course very tasty. No wonder, with the high-quality ingredients directly from the region.
