On this wonderful bike tour along the banks of the River Inn you will gather a range of impressions of Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Starting point of the 550 km long-distance cycle track is the Maloja Pass at 1,815 m above sea level – destination is the baroque town of Passau.

Multi-faceted INN CYCLE TRACK
Unusual high mountains. Rolling alpine foothills. Vast floodplains.
This impressive cycle tour starts in the tranquil Swiss Engadine. The route takes you along the green, crystal-clear River Inn and through the oldest national park in the Alps, a stunning UNESCO biosphere reserve and across the idyllic Engadine lake district. Another highlight à la Swiss: the elite winter sports Eldorado of St. Moritz.
After that, the Inn Cycle Track meanders through Tyrol along the whooshing mountain river. The cycle tour takes you past the Cistercian Order of Stams Abbey, a popular pilgrimage site, and the wonderful metropolis of Innsbruck. How about a visit to the “Goldenes Dachl” (Golden Roof)? Or a romantic stroll through the old town? A must for sports enthusiasts is the Bergisel Stadium, and kids can enjoy the colourful animal world of the Alpenzoo.

INN CYCLE TRACK
The Inn Cycle Track runs now in part along a dam. Two special gems are waiting for you along the way: the impressive Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens and the medieval fortress in Kufstein.
After leaving Tyrol you will arrive in cosy Bavaria. Enjoy the charm of this region and the quaint and friendly nature of its people! The cycle tour first leads to Wasserburg am Inn with its historic townscape, and then continues to the famous pilgrimage site of Altötting with the “Black Madonna” which is well worth seeing.
You now cross the border back into Austria and reach another highlight of this long-distance cycle tour: the “Lower River Inn” European Nature Reserve with its pristine floodplains, islands and rare bird species. Unspoilt nature!
On the last stage of the Inn Cycle Track you will discover the charming baroque town of Schärding with its beautiful town houses. Finally, this magnificent long-distance cycle track ends in the three-river town of Passau, where the Inn and Ilz rivers join the River Danube.
