Waterfalls, giant ice world and Mozart legends
The adventure of this long-distance cycle tour starts at the Krimml Waterfalls – an amazing spectacle of nature, where the roaring water of the highest waterfall in Central Europe plunges 380 metres into the deep. The Tauern Cycle Track then passes the Upper Tauern National Park and runs along the River Salzach – against the magnificent backdrop of the Alps.
Along the way, a visit to the National Park Centre in Mittersill is a great idea – as is a detour to Austria’s highest mountain, the 3,798 m high Grossglockner. Or would you prefer to relax in the luxurious atmosphere of the TAUERN SPA in Kaprun?
