The Lake Egelsee tour is an enchanting trip to a moor lake hidden in the forest. Here you can let your feet dangle in the up to 28 degrees warm water in harmony with your soul. Tucked away on the chain of hills between Lake Millstatt and the lower Drava Valley, this natural wonder is situated at 650 metres above sea level.
Lake Egelsee tour
Starting point of the approx. 26 km long tour is the southern shore of Lake Millstatt in Seeboden. The e-MTB can be put to the test and show what it is made of on beautiful root-covered trails and gravel roads. Lake Egelsee, situated in the middle of a forest above Spittal a. d. Drau, is reached after around six kilometres. This pristine natural paradise is characterised by a unique flora. Without exception, this natural treasure is surrounded by a dense, quaking bog and the papillose peat moss and carnivorous sundew will delight any botanist. The water invites you to take a dip and can help to relieve inflamed joints. Afterwards, the tour continues over the long ridge of the Wolfsberg with wonderful panoramic views of Lake Millstatt and the Drava Valley.
