Jenbach, home of the trains, is the starting point of the highlight tour of the Karwendel Silver Region. The village is located in the Inn Valley and is directly connected to the Inn Cycle Route. From there, the tour starts to the west, towards the Silver Town of Schwaz.
Course of the tour
The first stage leads already through the Jenbach forests. The white walls of Tratzberg Castle gleam majestically on the Inn Cycle Route. Straight ahead, the route leads directly to the historic castle and a journey to the time of knights and kings. The tour continues along the Inn Cycle Route through green fields and meadows to Vomp. There, directly on the Inn Cycle Route, the next castle is waiting and treats you to Tyrolean delicacies. The traditional Mitterhart Castle inn lets the heart of all Schnitzel lovers, Kaiserschmarren fans and other connoisseurs beat faster.
Well refreshed, we return to the east, over the Inn Bridge and into the Old Town of Schwaz. The Freundsberg Castle towers impressively over the Silver Town of Schwaz. Arriving at Freundsberg Castle, you comprehend the castle’s watchful gaze – the town of Schwaz is truly at your feet.
Enriched by many impressions, the cycle track now leads leisurely back to the starting point in Jenbach.
