Tour description
In the centre of Bad Mitterndorf, cycle between Bäckerei Reisinger and NKD to the north through the narrow section of the Salza. After a gentle cycle on the asphalted road, you’ll reach the “Kochalmbauer”. After passing through the barriers, continue uphill on the gravel forest path.
You come to the “Rechenplatz” at the next large clearing, where you turn left and up to the highest point, past the Salzaalm, at 1,200 metres.
You can now enjoy the valley descent to the Grundlsee Lake. After arriving in Gößl, cycle alongside the lake to where it starts.
Cycle further on side roads towards Bad Aussee (Strassen) and further to Kainisch. From here, enjoy a gentle ride on the R19 back towards Bad Mitterndorf.
