Cycling around Rosenheim - SUR cycle path (Grand Tour)
The "Cycling around Rosenheim" cycle route takes you around the vibrant city of Rosenheim. A whole day should be planned for the 83 kilometre tour.
Complete route
The cloverleaf-shaped overall route runs via Rosenheim, Bad Aibling, Großkarolinenfeld, Kolbermoor, Neubeuern, Raubling, Rohrdorf, Schechen and Stephanskirchen. A whole day should be planned for the complete tour "Cycling around Rosenheim". The 83 kilometres are just as suitable for ambitious cyclists as they are for cyclists who want to enjoy the magnificent views of the mountains and experience nature up close along the route.
The cycle path can also be cycled in stages. You can cycle it on standard touring bikes and it is also suitable for families with a normal level of fitness. Only the eastern section of the circular route is more hilly and therefore places somewhat higher demands on riders and bikes.
The cycle path can be cycled in both directions and is signposted. A cycle tour can be started at any point, so that everyone can put together their own individual route according to their interests and fitness level.
in 2012, the cycle path was honoured by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. In addition to a clear map, extensive tips are also provided.
