Starting from the town centre, turn left at the next junction onto Alte Rathausstraße. At the roundabout, take the last exit towards Frasdorf and, after a gentle climb, you’ll reach the first direct-sales outlet, Chiemseefischerei Stephan. At the next junction, turn right and follow the road towards Greimharting. On the left-hand side, stop off for a quick visit to the Grosse butcher’s shop. Taking the RO 22, you’ll eventually reach Greimharting and continue via Gänsbach, past the vineyard, to Dirnsberg and the Fritz’n Hof distillery and cider press. With the mountains always in view, cycle back to Greimharting. Here, turn right at the next junction and follow the road to Fürst. On the main road, cyclists keep to the left and follow the RO 30 until the second turn-off. The route then runs alongside the Munzinger Forest, which you cross at the next junction (on the right). Follow the road to Munzing to reach the Munzinger Hof. After another short stretch, you’ll reach the Hefterhof in Mupferting. With the Kampenwand right in front of you, the route goes briefly downhill and then uphill again towards Elperting to the Wastlhof. With a series of short uphill and downhill sections, follow the route description and take a short detour along Stettnererstraße to the Westnerhof, then back to the small junction, passing the beautiful herb garden of the Gaishackenerhof in Gaishacken and the hamlet of Prutdorf with the Rothmayer Hof, heading towards Wildenwart Church. At Wildenwart Castle, the route heads downhill to the Rainermühle. Following the road, it continues via Vachendorf and Bauernberg to Leiten and the Obermüller schnapps distillery – Hans’l Hof. You’ll now need to turn round once and, at the next fork, keep left towards Hoherting. In the hamlet, take the right-hand turn-off towards Urschalling, follow Urschallinger Straße downhill and turn right onto the main road. After about 200 metres, you’ll reach the Kollmannsberger regional and organic market. Then, at the roundabout, take the last exit and follow Harrasser Straße as far as the railway tracks. Ride alongside the tracks towards Prien town centre and continue along Ernsdorfer Straße to the Regerlhof. You’ll now head back a short way and pass under the railway tracks into Hochriesstraße. Turn right towards the town centre and you’ll pass the Brotquelle. At the small roundabout, turn right again and go under the railway tracks; at the roundabout between the lake and the town centre, turn left into Hallwangerstraße and continue to the next possible turn-off (Rafenauerweg). Passing meadows and fields, cycle to the junction with Osternacher Straße and, on the left-hand side, take Weidachstraße to reach the Greamandl fish farm on Greamandlweg. Return to Hallwangerstraße and turn right to cross the River Prien. Follow the Prien river directly towards the lake, past the Rimsting lido, back over the Prien bridge and follow the Chiemsee circular route as far as the Reiter and Ihm fishing huts. Take the Forellenweg through Osternach along Osternacherstraße back to Hallwangerstraße. Turn left there and cycle back towards Prien town centre. Go through the railway underpass (cyclists must dismount here) to Schulstraße, then onto Höhenbergstraße, past the local history museum. Turn right onto the main road (Alte Rathausstraße) and then immediately left back onto Beilhackstraße to the starting point.
