Dobbiaco-Cortina: the Dolomites cycle path
Cycle path on the old Dobbiaco-Cortina-Calalzo railway line
The cycle path from Dobbiaco to Cortina takes you along the venerable railway line from the Gustav Mahler village of Dobbiaco over the Cimabanche Pass and into the Olympic village of Cortina. After just a few kilometres, you reach Lake Dobbiaco, which invites you to linger. The route leads past the Kriegerfriedehof farm to the Dreizinnblick viewpoint, from where the Three Peaks, the symbol of the Dolomites, can be seen. The route then takes you past the Landrosee lake up to Cimabanche, the highest point of your journey, before continuing through old railway tunnels and over bridges to Cortina.
If you don't want to cycle back, you can take advantage of a transfer (bookable with Dolomiti Slowbike).
The cycle path continues downhill to Calalzo, from where you can also take the Bik'n Bus back.
