Drava Cycle Path (Drava Bike)
The total length of the Drava Cycle Route is 510 kilometres and runs from the source of the Drava near Toblach in Italy
through Austria to Slovenia and on to Croatia, where it ends at the mouth of the Mura and Drava rivers near Legrad.
The Slovenian section of the route is 145 kilometres long and mostly runs along local roads with little traffic and well-maintained cycle paths. Due to the different terrain and the more demanding ascent between Podvelka and Lovrenc on Pohorje, this section is more suitable for better-trained cyclists.
The use of trekking or electric bikes is recommended.
One of the most interesting experiences along the route is the traditional raft descent on the Drava, which offers a unique experience.
The Drava Cycle Route in Slovenia and Croatia is divided into 6 stages:
- Dravograd - Radlje ob Dravi (29 km)
- Radlje ob Dravi - Maribor (45 km)
- Maribor - Ptuj (30 km)
- Ptuj - Ormož (28 km)
- Ormož - Varaždin (30 km)
- Varaždin - Legrad (52 km)
