An adventure for the whole family! Stage 3 from Altstätten to Arbon leads first along the Rhine, then along Lake Constance and past various highlights.
The third stage of the family route runs from Altstätten to Arbon on the shores of Lake Constance. The route first follows the Rhine and then the lakeshore - ideal for inexperienced cyclists.
There are regular stops and railway stations along the route. If you need a break, it's easy to continue on the Thurbo train: all entrances are at ground level, so boarding is easy even with a bike trailer.
The signposted cycle route offers something for every interest - whether you are a water rat, land pirate, games fan or explorer. There are numerous swimming spots, playgrounds, farms with adventure programmes and other exciting stops along the way.
Family-friendly restaurants nearby offer suitable catering for those with a small appetite or a big appetite. Or how about a picnic or "Brätlen" at one of the many fireplaces along the route?
