The Liechtenstein Trail leads through the entire Principality of Liechtenstein and is ideal for getting to know the country and its people in depth. The cycle route leads through idyllic vineyards, nature reserves, old village centres, to many sights and is peppered with magnificent views. In some places, the route deviates from the hiking route.
The route leads from the southernmost municipality of Balzers to the Walser village of Triesenberg, then to the Liechtenstein capital of Vaduz and onwards in constant ups and downs through villages, forests and nature reserves to the customs office in Schaanwald on the border with Austria. The entire route is divided into three stages so that you have enough time to enjoy the many sights and attractions along the way. As the route dips into villages again and again, there are plenty of refreshment stops along the way.
