Route Muhr

From St. Michael, cycle uphill along the River Mur past the district of Glashütte to Schellgaden. From there, continue along the Muhrer Landesstraße to the village of Muhr. The "Prangstangen" can be viewed in the church here from 29 June to 15 August. Continuing through the picturesque village of Jedl, you reach the Arsenhaus (not open to the public). Just before it, on the right-hand side, is the Blasnerhof, where you can stop for a bite to eat every Thursday and this property is also well worth a visit, with a small farm museum. After the Arsenhaus, the path leads to the right with a 19% incline to the Muritzen car park, which is the ideal place for a short break. If you are still in the mood, you can cycle on to the Sticklerhütte at 1,752 metres above sea level and then walk another 3 km to the Murursprung.

A special tip for this route: the exhibition "(M)URSPRUNG - Nature in the River", right in the village of Muhr.
