Theme tour 18: Cycling safari
Not too long tour on good roads and paths with animal encounters. Also good to do with a bike trailer.
Dedicated conservationists, animal lovers and experts ensure that very special creatures have found a home in the Inn-Salzach region. From the starting point of the cycle safari in Mittergars, there is a beautiful view of the opposite bank of the Inn, where there is a bird sanctuary with a grey heron colony near Au am Inn. On the tour, you will pass the "Jettenbacher Biotop", where water buffalo live, and on the Inn you will learn what the fish ladder is all about. The highlight of the tour is the "Oberreith Wildlife Park", where you can observe golden pheasants, spectacled sheep and Siberian eagle owls as well as many other animals. Alpacas are bred in Gars and are also happy to go for walks with guests.
