To the sources - the south of Klagenfurt

This cycle tour leads along the water - via the Glan cycle path to the municipality of Ebenthal, to the waterfalls of the same name and via the Glanfurt/Sattnitz back to Klagenfurt's old town centre ...

From the starting point in Klagenfurt's old town centre, the route heads north to the Glan cycle path. This then leads in a south-easterly direction to the municipality of Ebenthal, where the Ebenthal waterfalls invite you to linger. The trail then leads along the Sattnitz river alongside the rushing water until you return to the starting point of the tour via St. Ruprechter Straße.

 

The beautiful New Square with its town hall and Lindwurmbrunnen, Klagenfurt's landmark, forms the starting point of this tour.

From there, the route leads through Kramergasse to Alter Platz with its historic buildings, boutiques and romantic cafés. Via Wienergasse you reach Heuplatz, where the "City Arkaden" shopping centre is located. From there, cycle a little further northwards, where you join the Glan cycle path.

The idyllic cycle path leads along the water through the Welzenegg district, where you stop at the castle of the same name, and through the Fischlpark past the old mustard factory in the direction of Ebenthal. The route continues via Ebenthal to Glanfurt/Sattnitz - if you wish, you can take a detour to the idyllic Ebenthal waterfalls.

You can then experience nature and enjoy a hearty snack to the full at Kalmusbad. Take a break there to invigorate body and soul. Along the Glanfurt/Sattnitz you reach St. Ruprechter Straße, which takes you back to the starting point of the tour.
