Zollfeld tour
This tour takes you to the historic north of the region and combines the city with the cultural landscape. From Klagenfurt's old town centre, the route follows the Glan cycle path out into the wide Zollfeld to the Herzogstuhl, a stone symbol of Carinthia's early history. Maria Saale Cathedral rises with its towers, visible from afar across the plain. The route comes full circle via Judendorf and St. Georgen am Sandhof - a Carinthian snack fits in well here. The route leads back to the centre along St. Veiter Straße. In Maria Saal, Austria's oldest open-air museum with rural architecture from four centuries completes the historical panorama.
