The start of the Mura Cycle Trail is at 1,761 metres, the finish in Legrad in Croatia, where the Mura flows into the Drava, is at 130 metres. The route from the starting point of the Murradweg in Lungau to Croatia
Your cycle tour now takes you through a densely wooded area via Judenburg, Knittelfeld and Leoben to Bruck an der Mur - the centre of Styrian iron processing. Discover art-historical gems here, stroll through the dreamy old town and visit the late Gothic Kornmesserhaus! Taste your way through the Styrian cuisine and in no time at all your tour will be a cycling pleasure.
Your long-distance cycle tour now takes you via the romantically situated Frohnleiten. The Mur meanders through a narrow valley towards Graz. Here it is worth climbing up to the clock tower on the Schlossberg to admire this charming cultural city with its red-tiled roofs from above.
Let's continue! The Mur Cycle Path now takes you via Wildon to enchanting southern Styria - a gently undulating region with idyllic vineyards, sunflower fields and warm hospitality. You should definitely plan a visit to a wine tavern - with pumpkin seed oil, scarlet runner beans and a glass of wine.
A glance at the map of the Murradweg shows you another highlight of your journey - the cosy thermal spa in Bad Radkersburg. In the last stage of this tour, you cross Slovenia and Croatia and reach the destination of Legrad, where the Mura flows into the Drava. In 2012, the Mura Cycle Trail was extended to Croatia. Before that, the Mura Cycle Path ended in Slovenia.
