    Drava Cycling Route

The Drava River, known as “Drava” in Slovenian, originates in South Tyrol and flows along Slovenia’s cultural capital Maribor to the Hungarian-Croatian border. Following the longest tributary of the Danube at 749 km, you’ll find one of the world’s most famous long-distance cycle routes: the Drava Cycle Path – one of only 4 cycle paths in Europe classified with 5 ADFC stars. Slovenia’s Drava impresses with its high water quality, picturesque landscapes, and romantic villages.

A bicycle tour becomes a pleasure when you combine it with a stop for a bite to eat.

    Drava Bike – Multi-Day Tour

The cross-border Drava Cycle Path spans 509 km through the sunny south of Austria, from Toblach in South Tyrol to Varaždin in Croatia. Four countries, impressive mountain ranges, numerous lakes for swimming, diverse cultural worlds, and untouched nature parks. The Drava gives Maribor, the cultural capital, a certain Mediterranean charm – from our bikes, we explore the notable cathedral, sip espresso in the town square, enjoy sunsets in the vineyards of the Štajerska region, and cycle along the riverbank. In Ptuj, Slovenia’s oldest town, thermal baths revitalize and the diversity of Slovenian cuisine awaits. Here, everyone simply falls in love with the river… and with S-LOVE-enia.
