    Five palaces tour

Five palaces and castles, built on hills and within sight of each other, are at the centre of the tour. The starting point for the five palaces tour is Vaduz, the capital city of the principality. Cross the Rhine via the Energy Bridge and the route goes to Buchs in Switzerland. Werdenberg Castle and the town itself are largely still in their original condition from the 13th century. The climb up to the Wartau Castle ruins is easy to conquer on an e-bike. Carry on to Sargans Castle before continuing to Liechtenstein. From far away you can see Gutenberg Castle in Balzers, also from the 13th century, which stands on a rock spur at a height of over 70 metres. You can then cycle back to your starting point in Vaduz on gentle cycle trails.

A bicycle tour becomes a pleasure when you combine it with a stop for a bite to eat.
