    The Liechtenstein Trail

    The best way to get know the principality is on the Liechtenstein Trail. The Liechtenstein Trail e-bike route takes you on 83 kilometres through the whole country. The varied route is full of interesting encounters, lots of sights, wonderful views, idyllic places to take a break and much more. The route leads you from the southern municipality of Balzers into the Walser village of Triesenberg and then to the capital of Vaduz. You then continue cycling up and down through villages, forests and nature conservation areas to the customs office in Schaanwald on the Austrian border. The total route is divided into three stages, so you’ll have enough time to enjoy the many sights and culinary highlights along the route.

    A bicycle tour becomes a pleasure when you combine it with a stop for a bite to eat.

    Vaduz Castle

    Vaduz Castle rises up around 120 metres above the capital city of Vaduz. It’s the symbol of Liechtenstein and visible from far away.

    Princely Wine Cellar

    The Princely Wine Cellar in Liechtenstein in Vaduz is located in the Herawingert vineyard. With its four hectares, it is one of the best vineyards.

    Walser village of Triesenberg

    Triesenberg is a traditional mountain village. It developed from a Walser settlement in the 13th/14th century and the municipality has cherished its history over the years.

    Liechtenstein Treasure Chamber

    The “Liechtenstein Treasure Chamber” in Vaduz is the most unique museum in the alpine region and displays one-off objects that are closely connected with Liechtenstein.

    Centre of Vaduz

    The centre of Vaduz is the pulsating heart of Liechtenstein. The pedestrian zone from the government quarter to Vaduz town hall is traffic-free.

    Ruggeller Riet

    The Ruggeller Riet, a peat region, is an approx. 90 hectare nature conservation area in the northern part of Liechtenstein.
