Wasserburg Circular Cycle Track
The Wasserburg circular cycle track is simply too wonderful to be cycled in just one day. That’s why you should plan two days for the 110 km long route so that you can enjoy all the beautiful impressions and experience at least some of the many sightseeing possibilities.
The tour, which has some moderate ascents, is signposted in both directions with the “Wasserburg Lion”. The route is mainly asphalted, with short sections on dirt roads, and runs almost continuously on small roads or designated cycle tracks. Wasserburg Castle with its typical Inn-Salzach architecture and the old town centre, 7/8 of which is surrounded by the river Inn, is a real sight worth seeing.

Five special culinary highlights can be enjoyed directly on or in close proximity of the cycle track:
Coffee connoisseurs will find what their heart desires at the Deliano coffee roastery. Something sweet awaits cyclists at the Confiserie Dengel chocolate shop, where special pralines and chocolate specialities have been made since 1992. The chocolate shop obtains its ingredients directly from producers in Colombia and Paraguay as well as from regional dairy farmers. At his “Finkennest Zillham“, Simon Fink makes bread and pastries and other treats from ancient varieties of grain, which can be purchased at the small farm café. Meanwhile, at Rinser See Lake you can cool down not only by jumping into the water but also by enjoying some “Rinser Natur-Eis” ice cream, which is made by the Geschwendtner Family from regional and seasonal fruits and ingredients and sold directly by the lake. From Bad Endorf, you can also take a detour to Lake Chiemsee – the Bavarian Sea. Once you get to Amerang, you will discover Feinkost Poidl – a fine food store that offers homemade jams, Sepp’s Odl (herb) liqueur and many other typical regional delicacies.
