Weberkeller Röschitz

Exploring the Retzer Land
The approximately 55 km circular route passes through picturesque wine cellars and impressive vineyards. It’s no wonder it’s named after the regional flagship in terms of wine and has found a prominent namesake with the first DAC (Districtus Austriae Controllatus) in Austria.
The wine town of Retz is the starting point of the cycling tour. From here, you’ll go through Waitzendorf to Pulkau. Via Rafing, you’ll reach the Veltliner stronghold of Röschitz, then continue to Roseldorf and Platt before reaching Zellerndorf. From there, you’ll cycle back to Retz via Pillersdorf. At the end of your bike tour, you should treat yourself to a glass of Weinviertel DAC, so you not only earned it by cycling, but also have felt the fruity, spicy, peppery taste of Grüner Veltliner on your palate.
