Bluescht-Velotour Thurgau
During the "Bluescht", the time when fruit trees blossom in spring, Thurgau shows its most beautiful side. This cycle tour takes you around the sea of pink-spotted blossom.
The Bluescht bike tour starts at Romanshorn railway station. You can hire bikes or e-bikes there. The first half of the tour climbs gently. The first intermediate destination is the moated castle of Hagenwil. The historic castle, the oldest parts of which are around 800 years old, is home to a restaurant that invites you to take a break with fresh cuisine and regional specialities
The route continues through extensive orchards and gently uphill to Ruggisberg. This vantage point with its picturesque chapel offers a marvellous view over Lake Constance. Now it's not far to the highest point at Dottenwil Castle.
The route now descends again towards Lake Constance through the villages of Freidorf and Roggwil. Roggwil is home to the Huusbraui, a small brewery with an idyllic garden restaurant. An insider tip for cyclists. Finally, the tour joins Lake Constance in Arbon and follows it to the starting point in Romanshorn.
