From Bad Tölz to Kirchsee and Reutberg Monastery and back

Moor idyll and beer garden: An enjoyable tour through forests, meadows and moors with a stop at the beer garden in the Reutberg monastery.

Route description: We start in front of the bike hire shop at the Kleiner Kursaal in Bad Tölz (Ludwigstraße 11 1/3) and cycle towards Isarsteg, then follow the signs for Ellbach/Sachsenkam and continue along the walls of the Waldfriedhof cemetery to Bairawieser Straße. We cross this road and now have to climb the Feistweg for approx. 500 metres, then do not turn off until we come to an asphalt road. Here we turn left to Ellbach and the main road. Now cycle left, then right following the signs to Kirchseemoor. Turn right onto the tarmac road until you reach the left turn leading to Reutberg Monastery. Here we enter Sachsenkam or Reutberg Monastery as follows: From the monastery, continue in a northerly direction to the Kirchsee junction; first on the road, then on a path to the lakeshore. (Be careful, turn right up here!). Now continue through the moor to the signposts, past the Kogler Weiher (bathing opportunity) via Abrain, Ellbach back to Bad Tölz.
