The route starts in the charming little town of Wil and first leads through gentle forest paths in Hinterthurgau and on to Tannzapfenland. A stop at Fischingen Monastery is a good idea, not only for a glass of the monastery's own beer, but also for an overnight stay. Here you can soak up the tranquillity and spirituality of the place while recharging your batteries for the onward journey. From Fischingen, the route takes you up into the heights of the Töss Valley with fresh energy. The route leads past Wila and through the idyllic wet meadows near Wildberg. Over the gentle hills of the municipality of Zell, you reach the historic Gyrenbad inn, which is ideal for an overnight stay. The route continues through the countryside around Schauenberg and the charming little town of Elgg. The Kaltbach picnic area near Lommis invites you to take a break before passing the historic Johanniterkomturei Tobel. The last part of the ride is a relaxed ride back to Wil, where the Herzschlaufe rolls out comfortably.
