The first stage of the Herzroute connects Lake Constance with the Rhine Valley. From Romanshorn to Altstätten, you cycle along the shores of Lake Constance and over panoramic mountain ranges with impressive views.
The route starts on the shores of Lake Constance and then takes you through the hilly landscape of eastern Switzerland. As you tackle the climb, you are treated to impressive views over the lake, the green landscape of Eastern Switzerland and the picturesque vineyards. The route then descends into the St.Gallen Rhine Valley, where the charming old town of Altstätten awaits you. The mixture of nature, culture and enjoyment makes this stage an ideal start to the Herzroute.
