Mitterbergrunde
From St. Michael, you cycle leisurely along the River Mur, past the Mur Island, through St. Margarethen, Unternberg to Tamsweg. The cultural highlight in Tamsweg is the pilgrimage church of St Leonhard. The route continues via St. Andrä, Lintsching, along the Taurach to Pichl. You reach Mauterndorf via Gröbendorf and Steindorf. A visit to Mauterndorf Castle or a refreshing detour to the adventure pool are highly recommended here!
If you want to extend the Mitterbergrunde a little, you should take the route to Weißpriach before Gröbendorf. A beautiful side valley, along the Longa, where after approx. 18 km you will return after a culinary stop in a hut and will certainly enjoy the beautiful landscape and the good air. Passing Mauterndorf, you will come to the legendary Moosham Castle, which is well worth a guided tour. The journey finally leads via Pischelsdorf in the direction of St. Margarethen upstream of the Mur back to St. Michael.
