Schönfeld Route

Schönfeld Route
The Schönfeld route starts in the village of St. Margarethen and leads us eastwards (Thomatal) on the tarmac road to Pichlern. Before the end of Pichlern, we turn left onto the gravel road. After approx. 100 metres, continue right towards Gruben and immediately after a bridge, turn right past the Kunsthof Thomatal (Kocherhof). If you want to take a short break in Thomatal, you can visit Mr Bauer's show dairy. We keep to the right and then immediately turn left uphill onto Höllweg. At the end of this path, we turn left onto the tarmac road and then follow this path uphill to Schönfeld / Dr Josef-Mehrl-Hütte. On the way, we pass the Bundschuh blast furnace museum, the Hubertus Chapel and the Holy Family made of Swiss stone pine.
