Seerücken route
The Seerücken route runs on low-traffic side roads from the Rhine over the Seerücken to the Obersee, all with changing views of wide valleys and the Alps.
Always close to the High Rhine, the Seerücken route from Schaffhausen first leads through the Scharenwald forest to Diessenhofen. Through the Geisslibach plain, you then reach Stammheim in Zurich and near Nussbaumen it is worth taking a short detour to the three lakes of the Seebachtal valley. The route continues via Herdern and Homburg, finally passing not far from the highest point of the Seerücken. The hamlet of Hohenrain follows before Wäldi and then you reach Siegershausen
From Siegershausen, the Seerücken route leads via Illighausen to Langrickenbach. The route continues through the heart of Mostindien: the area around Egnach, which is extremely rich in fruit trees, is a wonderful sight, especially during the fruit tree blossom in spring. Meanwhile, the destination, Lake Constance, draws ever closer and finally you reach the cool waters at the harbour in Arbon.
