Tannberg cycle tour

The Tannberg circular cycle route runs along the border between Salzburg and Upper Austria and mainly leads along country and local roads with little traffic as well as well-developed cycle paths. The starting point is Köstendorf, where there are suitable parking facilities in the town centre.

The route leads along the foot of the Tannberg through a varied cultural landscape with wide meadows in the direction of Enharting. On the eastern side of the wooded mountain range, the route continues to Lengau and Lochen am See. Impressive views of the Mattsee, the gently rolling hills and the Alps open up again and again from the gentle hills.

The route continues along the south side of Mattsee through Reitsham, Schalkham and Guglmoos. Passing the idyllic Egelseen lakes, the route leads to Schleedorf and back to the starting point in Köstendorf via Fischachmühle.

The circular route has no challenging climbs or descents and is therefore particularly suitable for families and pleasure-orientated cyclists.
