Wallersee cycle route

The starting point is the beach bathing area in Seekirchen, where the car park is located below the railway line. From there, the cycle path leads up to Seeburg Castle and on towards Seewalchen. Via Bayerham and Zell, the route then heads northwards through open fields towards Huttich, bypassing part of the Wenger Moor nature reserve.

Shortly after the moor, another wide view of Lake Wallersee opens up. The route continues at a relaxed pace via Maierhof to the small marina on the eastern bay of the lake near Neumarkt.

On the southern shore of Lake Wallersee, the route runs past idyllic holiday cottages and numerous rest areas. South of Henndorf, the route continues to Fischtagging, where the Fischach stream leaves the lake. There you have the opportunity to take a look at the lock that allows boat traffic between Wallersee and Fischach.

From there, it is only a few leisurely kilometres back through Seekirchen to the starting point of the tour. After the tour, you can stop off at the Seecafé Glashaus to round off the tour in a relaxed atmosphere on the terrace.
