Ramsau route

Starting from the centre of Ramsau, follow the main road to the west for approx. 1.5 km before turning right towards the Alpengasthof Edelbrunn. The moderately steep ascent now starts, first on asphalt and then on gravel from the Gasthof Edelbrunn. The route becomes flatter after 2 km, which makes it perfect for taking in the wonderful views of the Dachstein and lush mountain pastures. You’ll then continue on more coarse gravel until you reach the Dachstein road, where you’ll remain for the last few metres to the valley station. You should make time to take a short break there before cycling down the toll road. After the toll road, turn left and continue on the main road back to the Gasthof Brückenhof. Then turn right and you’ll shortly reach the ascent up to the Rittisberg. On the moderately steep ascent you’ll be accompanied by various fairy-tale figures and wonderful views from the top. Once you reach the highest point, take a break on the summit cross with viewing tower before starting the varied descent. The descent takes you on forest and wood roads back to Vorberg, past the Halseralm and Rösterstube. You’ll now cycle through Vorberg until starting the last short ascent on the Kulmberg at km 31. From Kulmberg, cycle back to the starting point in Ramsau along lovely meadow and forest paths.
