Niederdorf – Lienz
From Niederdorf to Toblach, Innichen, the national border with Austria and along the Drava to Lienz and back. The tour is suitable for young and old.
Along the river bank
From Niederdorf the cycle path takes you towards Lienz and via Toblach to Innichen, where you can admire the wonderful mountain panorama along the Drau Cycle Path. The route has a gentle gradient and leads you almost entirely away from the road and along the river bank. It is particularly suitable for families.
A popular place to stop along the route is the Loacker factory in Heinfels, where the delicious South Tyrolean wafers are manufactured and can be sampled.
Carry on back down towards the valley and into the Dolomite town of Lienz, the main town in East Tyrol. You’ll cover a distance of approximately 50 km and discover countless places to stop and eat when you get there. You can travel back in comfort on the train, which travels directly from Lienz to Niederdorf every hour.
