The Seerücken route: from the Rhine to Lake Constance
The Seerücken route leads along quiet side streets from the Rhine over the Seerücken to Lake Constance, past changing views of valleys and the Alps.
From Schaffhausen, the route runs through the Scharenwald forest to Diessenhofen and over the Geisslibach plain to Zürcher Stammheim. A detour to the three lakes of the Seebach valley near Nussbaumen is worthwhile. The route continues via Herdern and Homburg, past the highest point of the Seerücken, to Siegershausen. From there, the route leads via Illighausen to Langrickenbach and through the fruit-rich ‘Mostindien’. The blossoming of the fruit trees is particularly impressive in spring. Finally, you reach Lake Constance and the destination at the harbour of Arbon.
