The tour starts in the Hochpustertal, close to the Drau’s source, and follows the river through diverse natural scenery. As you cycle through idyllic valleys, historic towns, and charming villages, the Drau remains your constant companion. From Dravograd in Slovenia, the cycle path leaves the valley floor and winds through the gentle slopes of the surrounding mountains, offering breathtaking views of the Slovenian Drau Valley.
The journey concludes in Maribor, Slovenia’s second-largest city and a former European Capital of Culture. End your tour with a glass of Slovenia’s famous wine and soak in the special atmosphere of this historic city.
