Stages of the e-bike tour

Day 1: St. Pölten - Petzenkirchen
Starting from St. Pölten, the first day is a flat and leisurely ride along the Roman Cycle Route towards the Melk Alpine foothills and on to Petzenkirchen, where you will reach your destination after around 50 kilometres.

Day 2: Petzenkirchen - Ardaggger
Freshly recovered, you cycle comfortably along the Erlauftal cycle path to Pöchlarn and then along the Danube cycle path to Ardagger, before taking the Most cycle route and then the Mostbaron cycle route to the end point at the Schiffsmeisterhaus in Ardaggger after 40 km.

Day 3: Ardaggger - Waidhofen an der Ybbs
After a restful night at the Schiffsmeisterhaus, a rather short stage (30 km) follows the Mostbaron cycle route to Ulmerfeld, from where you continue along the Ybbstal cycle path to Waidhofen an der Ybbs. The afternoon is free for a stroll through the charming old town centre. You will spend the night in Waidhofen an der Ybbs.
Tip: For those who still haven't had enough after 30 kilometres, a detour to the Ybbsitz forging centre 11 km away is well worthwhile.

Day 4: Waidhofen an derYbbs - Lunz am See
A real highlight awaits you on the fourth day: the 55 km long centrepiece of the Ybbs Valley Cycle Path to Lunz am See is built close to the water and impresses with a wonderful natural backdrop - perfect for leisure cyclists and all those who would like to become one.

Day 5: Lunz am See - Mariazell
"Accept challenges" is the motto on day five. Because on the 35 km long stage from Lunz to Mariazell there are a few metres in altitude to conquer (briefly on a beautiful trekking route, then on the Zellerrain road). After a downhill section, the ride along the idyllic River Erlauf rewards you for the climbs you have previously mastered and shortly afterwards you reach the day's final destination of Mariazell.
Tip: This stage leads along a country road over the Zellerrain pass. Alternatively, there is a (rather challenging) mountain bike route or, for the more leisurely, a cycle taxi.

Day 6: Mariazell - St. Pölten
The final stage takes you from Mariazell over a good 80 km back to St. Pölten. On the Traisental cycle path, the route first climbs slightly to the Gscheid near Kernhof, before rolling pleasantly along the Traisen.

Connoisseur's tip: If you still haven't had enough, you can continue along the Traisental cycle path from St. Pölten to the Danube. You should definitely plan a stop at a wine tavern in the Traisental wine country on the way to Traismauer and back (50 km).

Extension tip: On the day of arrival or before travelling home, we recommend spending an extra night in St. Pölten. Starting from Hotel Das Alfred, there are plenty of (cultural) sights to discover in the provincial capital.
