Leisurely cycling - enjoyable refreshments. The new cycle tour leads through the borderless drent and herent and shows all the natural beauty and cultural highlights of the region from Salzburger Land, to Bavaria and through the beautiful Innviertel including Mattigtal.
Discovery cycle tour
The Discovery Cycle Tour was officially opened in spring 2025. It circumnavigates the region and can be experienced over approx. 200 kilometres in 3 to 4 days. There are two variants to choose from in the south and west: the lake variant leads past 8 lakes in Upper Austria and Salzburger Land, while the panorama variant offers magnificent views of the Alps and passes the "Ibmer Moor" moorland nature trail and the "Weidmoos" bird paradise. In the west, you can cycle on the Bavarian side of the Salzach and Inn rivers as well as on the Austrian side of the rivers - discovery experiences guaranteed!
