
Ingredients for the Apfelkiachl
- 4 apples
- 1 pinch of salt
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 125 ml milk
- Cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons rum
- 12 dag flour
- Icing sugar for sprinkling
- 2 eggs
- Frying oil
Preparation of the Apfelkiachl
Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into finger-thick slices. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with cinnamon. Prepare a batter from the flour, egg yolk, salt, milk, rum and beaten egg white. Dip the apple slices in it, then bake in hot oil until golden brown, sprinkle with icing sugar and serve.
