
Ingredients for the herb and cheese dumplings
- 300 g Woerle Emmental
- 300 g Woerle Salzburger farmer's cheese
- 1 kg dumpling bread
- 250 ml lukewarm water
- 50 g flour
- 8 pcs. Eggs
- 1 pc. Onion
- 1 bunch fresh herbs, chopped
- Salt, pepper
- Olive oil
Preparation of the herb and cheese dumplings
Preparation time: 15 min
Fry the finely chopped onion in oil, mix with the dumpling bread and season with various fresh herbs, salt and pepper. Mix the mixture with finely diced Emmental cheese and Salzburg farmhouse cheese, add beaten eggs. Add the lukewarm water and flour to form a compact mixture. Then leave to rest for 5 minutes. Shape the mixture into dumplings weighing approx. 100 g and boil in salted water for approx. 10 mins
Gabriele recommends: I serve three dumplings per portion, accompanied by creamy leek vegetables.
