B40 Red Wine Cycle Track
As the name suggests, this beautiful cycle track leads mainly through vineyards – and these vineyards are dominated by Blaufränkisch as a grape variety, often and happily called “the majesty among red wines”. This is why numerous winegrowers and local enoteche (wine shops) along the route invite you to sample their regional wines.
But cultural attractions, such as the castle and the Carl Goldmark Museum in Deutschkreutz or Franz Liszt’s birthplace and the Liszt Trail in Raiding, also await you on this cycle track. The Blaufränkisch Trail, with its observation tower in Horitschon and the Viticulture and Flag Throwers Museum in Neckenmarkt, are also definitely worth a visit.
