Show dairy, famous glass workshops etc.

Past Feyregg Castle to Krühub primary school – five kilometres of a gentle ascent. The Krems Valley “laid out” below us – we can enjoy the view and cycle a further three kilometres along fairly flat land, before racing back down into the valley.
The state cycle trail takes you to Wartberg, to the town centre over the Krems and further on small roads in a southerly direction – ahead of us are bright limestone alps and the jagged Krems wall that is the source of the eponymous river. The Krems meadows on the left, Schlierbach Abbey further back – your eyes will be refreshed at the sight of the intact landscape, whose fertile soils are the basis for healthy foods that sell like hot cakes at the famous Schlierbach farmers’ market among other places. From Schlierbach station there is a steep climb up to the lovely town with its Cistersian abbey. Your heart and soul will be richly rewarded – you’ll find a show dairy, famous glass workshops, places to stop for a bite to eat etc.
Via Hofern we finally get to Nußbach. The church tower almost reminds us of Heiligenblut, but instead of the Großglockner there are green hills. We can only sample a small amount of the nut spirit, otherwise we’ll have a few problems negotiating the way back with its great views!
