
Ingredients for the spelt and seed bread
- 500 g plain spelt flour
- 1 packet of dry spelt flour
- 1 level tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp bread spice
- 10 tbsp seeds to taste (sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, psyllium seeds, sesame seeds, ...)
- 500 ml warm water
- 1 tbsp honey
Spelt and seed bread
According to Hildegard von Bingen,spelt is "the best grain" and should therefore not be missing from your health-conscious diet. If you are often short of time but still don't want to miss out on homemade bread, this recipe is just the thing: quick to make, easy to prepare and tasty.
Preparation of spelt and seed bread
Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Dissolve the honey in the warm water and mix with the flour mixture until a uniform dough is formed. Pour the finished dough into a well-greased loaf tin. Now place the tin in a cold oven at 200 °C (without preheating). After 45 minutes, turn the bread out of the tin and bake for a further 10 minutes.
