Step by step, get closer to life and explore the natural jewel of Mühlviertel between the Danube and Moldau. Gentle hills, mighty granite rocks, diverse orchards, golden wheat fields, dense forests, and bubbling springs await along the route. As well as plenty of pleasure and organic establishments, such as the Braucommune in Freistadt, Biohof Mühlholz, or the Edelbrennerei Dambachler.
The 4-day discovery tour starts from Linz with the Mühlkreisbahn along the Danube into the upper Mühlviertel for a warm-up ride to Aigen-Schlägl. The second stage, in the spirit of calmness, travels along the green border to the Czech Republic, offering panoramic views from South Bohemia to the Dachstein. Between Waxenberg and Freistadt, you’ll be welcomed by authentic hosts – a place where you can feel “at home.” And you can taste a hoppy Freistadt beer before heading back towards the capital city of Linz on the final stage.
