The cycle route starts in Niederdorf and continues in a westerly direction towards Welsberg, past the Olang reservoir and downstream through the Rienz gorge in the heart of unspoilt nature until you reach the small medieval town of Bruneck. The “Ahrtour” cycle route then continues along the Tauferer Ahrntal valley to Sand in Taufers, where Taufers Castle stands on a rock and rises high above the village rooftops.
