    Panorama route

The name says it all as you can enjoy the wonderful panoramas in the region on the entire tour. It starts from Planet Planai in Schladming. The route takes you along the R7 into the Untere Klaus, from where the first ascent onto the Birnberg starts. You’ll cycle on a variety of paths towards Rössing, past the car park for the Silberkark gorge and to the Fliegenpilz picnic station. The route continues on an inviting gravel path towards Ramsau-Kulm, where you’ll cycle on a short section along the asphalted road and then onto the Kulmberg. Once you reach the top, you can enjoy the wonderful panorama.

Cycle down a lovely forest road towards Ramsau-Schildlehen, where the next ascent awaits you towards the Gasthaus Edelbrunn. The moderately steep climb to the Dachstein valley station is fairly strenuous but you’ll be rewarded from the Brandalm with a wonderful view of the Dachstein. The next part of the tour has the nicest scenery – the route takes you along meadow paths at the foot of the impressive southern walls of the Dachstein group towards the Bachlalm. If you’re lucky you might spot some curious marmots.

From here, you’ll meander along an asphalted alpine road down to the main Filzmoos road, which you’ll follow for 2 km. Turn right onto a gravel road before the Gasthof Auwirt that will take you past a turquoise reservoir lake. This is now the start of the last, initially very steep ascent that takes you back down through a forest. An alpine path takes you past the Mandlberggut and down towards Mandling, from where you can enjoy a leisurely cycle on the Enns Cycle Trail R7 back to Schladming.
