    From Niederdorf to Brixen

After the start at the “Von-Kurz-Platz” in Niederdorf, where the Haus Wassermann tourist museum is located, the tour leads past the turnoff to the natural jewel Lake Pragser Wildsee and to Welsberg, where a detour to Welsberg Castle can be made.

Along the Rienz river, past the reservoir, you reach the Olang valley basin with a view to the famous Kronplatz ski mountain. The cycle track now continues to the picturesque little town of Bruneck. In St. Lorenzen – the Roman Sebatum, you can catch a glimpse of the Sonnenburg Castle and enjoy a cappuccino on the main square. Continuing via Kiens and Vintl, you reach the impressive remains of the “Mühlbacher Klause” barrier. The tour now leads into the Eisack Valley. A wine sampling session including a Brettljause snack is a must here.

After 67 km you reach Brixen, the oldest town in Tyrol, where our highlight tour ends.

The return journey to the starting point can be made in comfort by using the Pustertal railway line, which runs every half hour and stops in all towns.

A bicycle tour becomes a pleasure when you combine it with a stop for a bite to eat.
