Fortunately, these two unique places are only a short distance apart: Pöllau, often referred to as the “Rome of Eastern Styria”, impresses with its magnificent castle complex and the parish church reminiscent of St. Peter’s Basilica. Hartberg, with a 3000-year history, a historic city center, and numerous shopping opportunities, also offers an unforgettable experience. The two cities are connected by the R57 regional cycling route, which passes through the Pöllauer Tal Nature Park without significant inclines. On the way back, you’ll encounter a small challenge on the way to St. Anna’s Church, a magical place with an equally impressive view.
The bike tour mostly follows asphalted roads, with the only significant climb being on the way to St. Anna’s Church.
