Tour Overview: Villach to Trieste – Cycling through Three Countries
Start your journey in Villach and enjoy the first stage along the Gail River to Tarvis (approx. 40 km), surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. Continue to Bled (approx. 55 km), passing through pristine landscapes and Kranjska Gora, with a romantic evening awaiting you at Lake Bled.
From Bled, the route leads to Ljubljana (approx. 55 km), the “Green Capital of Europe,” featuring highlights such as the medieval town of Radovljica. Next, cycle to Postojna (approx. 60 km), where the impressive Postojna Cave offers an unforgettable experience.
The route to Lipica (approx. 50 km) takes you to the home of the famous Lipizzaner horses. Finally, the tour ends in Trieste (approx. 30 km), where you’ll ride along the Parenzana railway route, gently descending to the sea. Extend your stay or begin your journey home.
