
Kaiserwinkl cheese doughnuts

Ingredients for the dough
150 g rye flour
150 g wheat flour
Salt
1 tsp butter
lukewarm water
fat for frying
Ingredients for the filling
200 g hot potatoes
100 g quark
100 g grey cheese or other cheese
30 g butter
1 small onion (finely cut)
Chives, salt
Method
For 4 persons
Prepare a well kneaded dough from flour, salt, butter and lukewarm water. Let the dough rest for a bit. Cut 1 cm thick slices from the roll of dough and roll them out into flat cakes.
For the filling, strain the potatoes and mix well with all ingredients. Place a spoonful of filling on each flat cake. Cover the filling with the dough, press the rims firmly together and bake the doughnuts in hot fat.
